I’m Chuck—a designer, educator, and end-to-end video producer based in Chicago.

I’m a curious tinkerer at heart. Whether it’s wading through ambiguity on consulting work or digging through documentation and AI chats to solve a granular tech issue, I genuinely enjoy creative problem solving. From custom expressions for After Effects or niche display formulas in Notion to redstone contraptions with the kiddos—if I’m learning, I’m happy.

I play the long game. Of course there are exceptions but I generally design with others or my future self in mind. I’m just wired to systematize and share successful processes and techniques. I establish best practices, project templates, folder structures, and more wherever I go (while respecting existing norms of course).

I like to stay close to the work. I enjoy the upfront strategy sessions, but it’s hard not to want to dive in myself when it’s time to get after it. From the writing and shooting all the way to final cut and grade, I’m here for all of it. That being said…

I thrive in collaborative environments. When film credits roll, there’s a reason it’s never a single name. Marketing, corporate work, presales, etc are the same way. The sweet spot for me is being able to support projects with different skills at multiple points. It’s just… more fun that way.
